Transfer to the North

Elder Blazzard was transferred north to the city of Sullana which is a new zone about 35 minutes from Piura, the mission center.  A little more modern in the area that he serves versus last. Same great people.

Another amazing week with the usual ups and downs. Last week with Elder Wittwer was great and we worked hard until the end, he has taught me so much and we had some great laughs. I have now been transferred to Sullana in the Buenos Aires area.

I am with Elder Yoshida and he is awesome!! He is from El Paso so he knows english and spanish like a pro. Our room is pretty tiny and I'm on a top bunk, yeah just imagine me climbing up on an unsturdy bunk. All good though, super excited to learn this area and meet the people. Sad to leave my old area but now the new guys will do great.

This guy Alejandro told us about a dream he had and how he began to fall off the path of God but was saved through the Book of Mormon, his daughter Lesley was pretty emotional and we felt the spirit a ton. Had the opportunity to do a home blessing as well for this family who really needed it, felt the spirit a ton again and even more after they asked me to give their newborn baby a blessing because she was sick. An experience I will never forget. I understand the power of the priesthood I have and know it to be true and life-changing.

During an intercambio with Elder Flitton, we talked about Santiago 1:5, the scripture we share everyday to tell people about Joseph Smith. In the script it says if you don't know something ask God and he will give it to you. A part that a lot of people don't think about much is in between those two lines, que dice "quien da a todos abundantemente y sin reproche" which means when the blessings of God are more than enough and He won't judge or hold back anything IF we pray with faith and without doubt like it says in the next verse.

As we come closer to the 200 anniversary of the first vision I hope everyone can read that again and really think about it. I was sent off very lovingly by the ward and didn't realize how much they liked me, this morning the youth were waiting by the buses to see me off, they are the best, hope to visit again one day. Got to keep working, hope all of you are too, take care!!
