The status of Elder Blazzard is currently unknown in terms of when they will be leaving Peru. Elder Blazzard falls in the 180 or more realm, returning to the U.S. and going home for 14 days of quarantine and then being reassigned. That new call length is to be determined.
Oops he called from his pension's phone today and the outlook is for the 30th March to fly home.

Cuarentena
Yeah, so I have the virus and I am getting reassigned. JK I'm not, all good down here for the most part. Past week was great and the area Buenos Aires is awesome. Ward seems way more alive and our mission leader is super cool. Had a baptism on Saturday and luckily because everything has been postponed or canceled so it's really hard to continue the work.
President said we are on a 15-day quarantine and have to stay in our rooms all day. It was a huge blow to us and is going to sad not being able to go out and teach. Didn't realize how much I loved teaching people until told that we cant do it anymore. Still waiting on more news, apparently the police are looking for foreigners to get them out of the country so trying to keep my head low.
Today we were only allowed to get food at the store and swat guys were at the door only letting a few people in at once, I was really prepared to get tackled. By not leaving the room I think I will have a little more time to study my scriptures so looking forward to that and a lot of personal thinking time.
My comp Elder Yoshida is awesome and a Mexican so he knows both languages super well. He shared this quote he found from an old missionary where his goal was to wake up everyday and make Satan think, "Oh crap,(Elder Blazzard) is awake!" We each have so much power than he does and our goal should be to so powerful in the gospel that he trembles beneath us.
Hope all is well and everyone is trying at least a little bit to be clean or something.

Transfer to the North
Elder Blazzard was transferred north to the city of Sullana which is a new zone about 35 minutes from Piura, the mission center. A little more modern in the area that he serves versus last. Same great people.
I am with Elder Yoshida and he is awesome!! He is from El Paso so he knows english and spanish like a pro. Our room is pretty tiny and I'm on a top bunk, yeah just imagine me climbing up on an unsturdy bunk. All good though, super excited to learn this area and meet the people. Sad to leave my old area but now the new guys will do great.
This guy Alejandro told us about a dream he had and how he began to fall off the path of God but was saved through the Book of Mormon, his daughter Lesley was pretty emotional and we felt the spirit a ton. Had the opportunity to do a home blessing as well for this family who really needed it, felt the spirit a ton again and even more after they asked me to give their newborn baby a blessing because she was sick. An experience I will never forget. I understand the power of the priesthood I have and know it to be true and life-changing.
During an intercambio with Elder Flitton, we talked about Santiago 1:5, the scripture we share everyday to tell people about Joseph Smith. In the script it says if you don't know something ask God and he will give it to you. A part that a lot of people don't think about much is in between those two lines, que dice "quien da a todos abundantemente y sin reproche" which means when the blessings of God are more than enough and He won't judge or hold back anything IF we pray with faith and without doubt like it says in the next verse.
As we come closer to the 200 anniversary of the first vision I hope everyone can read that again and really think about it. I was sent off very lovingly by the ward and didn't realize how much they liked me, this morning the youth were waiting by the buses to see me off, they are the best, hope to visit again one day. Got to keep working, hope all of you are too, take care!!

Cinco Mezes
HOLY VACA! I'm been a missionary for 5 months!!! Where the heck did January and February go, cant believe its already March. One more week until cambios and most likely I will be leaving this area, really sad to leave but excited to see where I go, I'm hoping for the coast where its a little bit cooler. Lots of work last week and two more investigators with baptismal dates. Had a super long Multi-zone on Wednesday and talked to a lot of the new guys which is crazy because it feels like I just got here yesterday.
Talked to Marleny a couple more times and told her she needs to come to church so she can be ready for her baptism and she didn't come again because she was a little sick, been learning to have more patience, not my time but the Lords. Talked to an inactive member Alan for 2 hours, or more of he just talked to me while I listened and my comp slept. Had interviews with the President, his wife, and the assistants about our area folder. All went well and we finally got a new fridge after 2 weeks without one.
Taught Veronica for yet another time, the sisters were with us and we pretty much talked about her faith and if she had any then she would get baptized, I didn't say it the hermanas did. Shared Alma 5 which is kinda of a self-examination, don't just pray, look at the blessings around you, I invite you all to read it again. A covenant with God means if you do your part, he literally has to do his part and bless you. We visited David again and he was pretty difficult, our mission leader in the ward came with us to help out and I hope his mind is a little cleared up. Other than that still sweating like crazy every second of everyday. Keep grinding and do the work.
